Funeral services for Charlotte A. Sletten, 84, of Plainfield, IL, formerly of Moline, IL, will be 11:00 am Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, 204 Grant Street, Hinsdale, IL. Visitation will be 2 hours prior at the church. Graveside services will be 11:00am Saturday at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Mrs. Sletten died Monday, September 19, 2016, at Lakewood Nursing and Rehab, Plainfield. Charlotte Jones was born January 14, 1932, in Hampton, IL, the daughter of Hiram and Hazel Fulscher Jones. She married Marion Sletten April 25, 1953, in Hampton. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, reading, and taking walks. Charlotte was active in the community and had been president of the Ladies Guild. Survivors include her husband, Marion Sletten, Plainfield; children, Gail (Larry) Goesch, Newbury Park, CA, and Jonathan Sletten, Plainfield; son-in-law, Terry (Laurie) Crane, Bettendorf; grandchildren, Krista Goesch, Erin Williams, and Lindsay Vargas; great grandchildren, Jake, Karen, Maggie, and Alex. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Karen Crane, and infant sister, Virginia. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the church.
