Cheryl A. Cooksey, 59, of Davenport, IA, died Friday, March 25, 2016, at her home. A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 pm Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Cheryl was born March 16, 1957 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Ben and Beverly Cooksey. She married Ralph Nichols in January 17, 1976. They were later divorced. She had worked for PMR for 13 years as a phone solicitor. She was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. She enjoyed doing puzzles, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Steven Nichols, Milan, IL, David (Dawn) Nichols, Moline, and Jen Nichols, Davenport; 5 grandchildren; her mother, Beverly, FL, siblings, Melissa Ogden, SC, Keith (Christine) Ogden, Colona, IL, Rich Kirby, IA, Laura Cad, WI, Barb Ruiz, MO; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and son, Robert. Memorials may be made to the family.
