Chris E. Haller, 65, of Moline passed away Thursday January 12, 2017 at his residence.

Cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no services. Memorials in his name, may be made to the American Heart Association.

Chris was born August 29, 1951 in Muscatine, a son of Eugene and Mavis (Tompkins) Haller. He graduated from the Van Buren High School, in Van Buren, Missouri.

On August 21, 1982, he married Melanie Carlson in Rock Island.

He was employed at Nichols Aluminum in Davenport for 30 years, retiring in 2010.

Chris enjoyed building computers and watching Sci-Fi movies.

He is survived by his wife, Melanie, 3-children: Tonya Carlson of TN; Curtis "Butch" (Tiffiny) Carlson of CA; and Theresa Carlson of CA; 5 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, 2 brothers: Paul (Sally) Haller of Muscatine and Danny Haller; his mother: Mavis Lambert of MO; 5 nieces, and 5 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother David.
