Funeral services for Christopher F. "Chris" Bivens (Handz), 38, of Davenport, IA, will be noon Monday, April 3, 2023, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9 until noon at the funeral home prior to services. Mr. Bivens passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023.

Chris was born to Alfred and Theresa Bivens in Moline, IL on September 17, 1984. Chris grew up in East Moline where he met the love of his life Mariah Huston. They were blessed with two children. Chris worked as a machine operator at Tank Holding. Chris had a contagious smile with so many stories to tell of the full life he lived. He made a friend every where he went. He loved protecting and providing for his family and making memories with them. He had a love for tattoos, drawing art for his loved ones, building forts with his babies and walking his dogs. He enjoyed listening to music, playing video games, working out and hanging out in his man cave. Left to cherish his memory are, his fiancée Mariah; their children, Makinlee Schilynn Bivens 8 and Cayson John Michael Bivens 6; parents; brother, Jothanial (Jessica) Santilli; grandparents, Jim & Sandy Bivens; aunts & uncles, Jimmie, Tammy, Joline & Vickie; Mariah's parents, John (Michele) Huston & their daughters; many cousins, nieces and nephews; his best friends Jack "Rabbit", Hunter, Zach & their families; and close family friend, Ashley Waffle. He was proceeded in death by great grandparents, Clarence, Eva, Geraldine & Eleanor; grandparents, Betty and LeRoy Scott; uncles, Larry & Bobby Scott; cousin, Jason Scott; childhood friend & his fiancées brother, John Huston Jr. & countless friends. In lieu of flowers/gifts, donations can be made to a memorial fund for his children.
