Christopher R. Johnson , 54, of East Moline, IL, passed away Friday January 10, 2025

Memorial Gathering and Remembrance will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Kings Bay Base Naval Submarine Base Chapel, Kings Bay Base, Georgia. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors.

Christopher was born January 27, 1970, in Gary, Indiana, to Robert and Sylvia (Aloia) Johnson. He married Tracy A. Bennett on August 2, 1989, in Winterhaven, FL.

Christopher is a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer following 21 1/2 years of honorable service to his country. Following his military service, he was working for Excelon / Constellation Energy at the Quad City Clean Energy Center, Cordova, IL.

Christopher was an avid Chicago Bears fan and an avid motorcyclist.

Surviving are his wife Tracy, of East Moline, IL; sons, Zachary Johnson, St. Marys, GA, and Alexander (Katie) Johnson, Kingsland, GA; granddaughters, Mackenzie and Maddison Johnson; mother, Sylvia Johnson, Crown Point, IN; brother, Michael (Danielle) Johnson, Hobert, IN; two nephews, Chandler Johnson and Tyler Johnson; Hobart, IN; and many other extended family members.

Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Robert W. Johnson, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Homer and Patricia Bennett; sister-in-law, Robin Price all of Indiana,
