Clara Mae Weigandt, 89, Moline, passed away to eternity on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, with her daughters at her side. She was born July 19, 1928 in New Boston, IL, to Myrtle Mae and Paul Hudson Hartwig. Upon graduation from New Boston High School in 1946, Clara attended classes at Brown's Business College, Rock Island. She worked as a secretary at John Deere Wagon Works in Moline for 11 years, before starting her family. In 1948, she married Herman W. "Bill" Schuessler in Rock Island, with whom she had two children. In 1967 she married Robert Weigandt in Moline. Clara was a homemaker and mother who lived for her children. She was caring and interested in every detail of their lives. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Paula (David) Sandoval of Davenport and Brenda (Ed) Rodts of Anamosa, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Bob. Clara's daughters would like to thank the staff at Hope Creek and Hospice Compassus for their loving care and support.
