Obituary

Cleo B. Krueger-Bushnell of East Moline died Saturday morning at the age of 94. Cleo was born on February 11, 1916, in Silvis. She graduated from United Township High school in 1935. Her passion for sewing provided her with a career and hobby that spanned fifty years. Her ability and desire to design window coverings facilitated continuous relationships well into her retirement years. Her greatest treasures in life were her husband Charles "Charlie" Krueger, her three children and any flavor of ice cream. Cleo's humble and gracious demeanor provided her with life long relationships and the ability to profoundly influence her fifteen grandchildren. She spent her retirement years in Mesa, AZ, after the death of her beloved Charlie and relocated to East Moline in 1996 where she resided in the Ridgewood Towers until the fall of 2009. She is survived by two daughters, Connie Sutton (Peoria, AZ), Bonnie Eggenburg (Moline) and her sister Viola Stulir (Silvis). Her fifteen grandchildren provided 24 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, son William and her sister Erma Veys. Visitation, service and burial begin at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday (June 15), at the First Baptist Church of East Moline. A luncheon will be provided at the church following the burial (Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline). Cleo's transition (of natural causes) was indicative of the way she lived and treated others - peaceful and loving!
