Funeral services for Colleen L. Powell, 83, of Colona House, East Moline, IL, will be noon Friday at First Baptist Church, East Moline. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Colleen died Monday, January 28, 2013 at her home. Memorials may be made to the family. She was born July, 23, 1929 in Muscatine, IA, the daughter of Herbert and Virlee Grimes Powell. She married Art Walker. She later married Paul Findley. She had worked for Burns Security at the John Deere Administration Building as a security guard for nearly 20 years. She had been a member of First Baptist Church, where she had been a loving member. She enjoyed her church, playing bingo, sending greeting cards, and collecting photos of her friends and family. Survivors include her sister, Jeanene Larson, Moline; brother, Richard (Peggy) Powell, Tucson, AZ; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Calvin Larson.
