Private graveside services for Colleen C. Wright, Aledo, formerly of East Moline, will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Colleen died December 15, 2013 at Genesis Senior Living, Aledo, after an extended illness. As per her wishes in lieu of memorials or flowers please plan something memorable with your family or friends. Colleen thought funerals were sad and wished no visitation or funeral and if by chance you have time, a prayer would be cherished. Colleen Brown was born May 2, 1931 in DesMoines, IA, the daughter of Clyde and Catherine (Nolan) Brown. She married Roy Wright June 1, 1951 in East Moline. He passed away July 18, 2007. She worked at Illinois Optical, Johnson Sheet Metal, housekeeper at Mercer County Hospital and was an E.M.T. (ambulance) for Mercer County Hospital. Survivors are a son and daughter in law Timothy and Deb Wright, daughter and son-in-law, Joline and Timothy Stout, grandchildren, Jake and Nick Wright, Eleanor Stout, and two great grandchildren.
