Connie L. Matson, 67, of Colona, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in Colona.

Graveside memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, with interment following. Those wishing to attend are to meet at Van Hoe Funeral Home, 1500 Sixth St., East Moline, at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice.

Connie was born November 30, 1954 in Springfield, Illinois, a daughter of Obert and Dolly Mae Prior Hout. She married Don Matson in 1988 in Henry County, IL. He preceded her in death on February 29, 2008.

She worked at the Maid-rite in Colona for 18 years, and later worked at Aspenwood in Silvis.

Connie enjoyed watching Friday night wrestling. Her favorite times were those spent with friends and family. She lived in Washington Courthouse, Ohio for a time.

Surviving are her daughter, Christina Hout-Scott, Colona; granddaughter, Cortney Scott, Cleveland, IL; and great granddaughter, Jolee Franks; siblings, Larry (Val) Hout, Taylor Ridge, IL, Cheryl Ross, Milan, IL, and Michele (Denny) Benson, East Moline; many nieces, nephews, and other family; and special friend, Kathy Stoddard Merrill.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband; son-in-law, Kevin Scott; and brothers, Donald Hout and Marty Hout.
