Connie J. Krummel, 62, Hampton, died Monday, May 11, 2015 as the result of an automobile accident in Hampton. Funeral services are 7PM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is 5PM until service time. At Connie's request, her body will be cremated following services. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Quad Cities Greyhound Adoption or to Rock Island County No Kill Shelter. Connie Gibson was born on June 18, 1952 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Stuart and Anita T. (Todtz) Gibson. She married Les Dicken in 1972. She later married Kurt Krummel in 1992. Connie was a jack of all trades. She had worked as a welder at John Deere Davenport, was a draftsman at Pav-Saver and ran tool path for Brutsche, Moline. Connie was an awesome seamstress, and did embroidery and alterations. She was instrumental in the forming of the local Threads of Love. Connie was a member of Unity Church of the Quad Cities, Moline. She enjoyed gardening, going to drag races and vacationing, especially where there was sand. Most of all she loved her grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Hope Esparza (Shane Davis), Spragueville, IA, Tony Baker, Blue Grass, IA, and Lane (Sara) Dicken, Long Grove, IA, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren with one on the way and siblings, Dan (Tracey) Gibson, Cordova and Doris (John) Mack, Bettendorf. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Raymond.
