Consuelo G. Correa, 77, of Colona, IL, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Genesis-Illini, Silvis, IL.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 27, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. A rosary will be recited at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, at the funeral home, with visitation following from 4:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m.

Consuelo was born July 29, 1945 in Wharton, Texas, a daughter of Alfredo and Bernarda (Alcorta) Gusman. She married Juventino G. Correa on June 7, 1961, in Wharton, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2007.

Consuelo was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal. She retired in 1991.

She was an avid Tennis fan and enjoyed playing Bingo and Cards. Some of her favorite times were those spent with friends and family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Juventino Correa Jr., Rock Island, Alfredo (Dawn) Correa, Colona, Fabian Correa, Colona, Irene Correa, Colona, Diana (Victor) Sandoval, East Moline, and Estella Correa, East Moline; grandchildren, Gabrielle Correa, Alexander Correa, Esteban Mejia, Roberto Mejia, Racheal Quintero, Rebecca Quintero, Adam Sandoval, Alyssa Sandoval, Nicolas Correa, Sabrina Correa, Ezequiel Correa, Paul Tamayo, Danielle Carter and Michael Terronez, ; great grandchildren, Julius, Makayla, Keela, Gabriel, Miyah, Jacob, Jocelyn, Miklo, Luca, Isabella, Briana, Dylan, Gerald, Drayden and Lucy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and additional family.

Consuelo was preceded in death by her husband, parents; and siblings, Lucinda Belasquez, Richard Gusman, and Teresa Ramirez.
