Funeral services for Cora F. Hewitt, 99, formerly of East Moline, are 10 AM Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 4PM. Cora died Thursday, October 9, 2009 at the Kahl Home, Davenport, IA. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Church, where she was a member or to the Kahl Home. Cora Lievens was born February 26, 1910 in Graceville, MN, the daughter of Chris and Augusta (Van Hyfte) Lievens. She married R. Terry Hewitt on May 29, 1934 in Graceville. He died November 17, 1978. Mrs. Hewitt enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. Survivors include her children and spouses: Richard and Chloe Hewitt, East Moline, Mary Jo Kline of Iowa City, IA and Mydge and Duane Krob, Swisher, IA, nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a sister Mary Young of Dallas, TX.
