Funeral services for Craig David Darr, 18, of Sherrard, IL, formerly of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd. East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 3-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Craig died Friday, March 25, 2005 at San Martin Hospital, Tijuana, B.C., Mexico, after a 9-month battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers and statuary, a memorial fund has been established. {Memorials may be made to Metrobank for the Craig Darr Memorial Fund.} Craig was born January 14, 1987 in Moline, IL, the son of David and Laurie (Weber) Darr. He was a fun loving 18-year-old who liked to ride dirt bikes, hunt and hang out with his friends. He is a graduate of Sherrard High School, where he had played drums in the Sherrard High School Marching Band. He had worked at Green Chevrolet, East Moline, IL. Survivors include: his father, David Darr of Moline, IL; mother and stepfather, Laurie and Dale Hergert of Sherrard, IL; brother, Steve Dana of Kewanee, IL; grandparents, Mary Weber of Kewanee, IL, Carolyn (Darr) Hibbs of Rock Island, IL, Dale and Toni Darr of East Moline, IL; great grandparents, Robert Darr of Moline, IL, Marie Johnson of Colorado; stepbrother, Jeramy; stepsister Angela; many aunts, uncles and cousins; his girlfriend, Melissa Miller of Sherrard.
