Funeral services for Cynthia L. Cox, 58, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Ms. Cox died Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to Animal Aid Humane Society, Moline. Cynthia O'Brien was born February 21, 1950 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Ernest and Mary Lou (Stiester) O'Brien. She had several jobs over the years, most recently she had worked at the Big 10 Mart in Moline. She had been a loving and caring person. She enjoyed spending time at the river, watching the barges go by and going to the racetrack so she could watch the horses. She loved animals. She will be missed by all. Survivors include: son and companion Michael Cox and Heidi Spicer of East Moline daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Chad Sovanski of Port Byron, IL;; her mother, Mary Lou Reinhart of Moline; grandchildren, Jacob Edmonds and Libbi Cox; brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Bonnie O'Brien of Milan, IL. She is preceded in death by her father and brother, Dennis O'Brien.
