Funeral services for Cynthia Madden, 50, of Colona, IL, will be noon Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be held at a later date in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Toeterville, IA. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Cynthia died Monday, May 28, 2007 due to injuries received from a train accident. Memorials may be made to the family. Cynthia was born September 30, 1956 in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Ervin and Beth (Melman) Madden. She worked in the Maintenance Department at the Rock Island Arsenal. She enjoyed bass fishing with her long time companion, Dennis. She was a loving mother, whose greatest accomplishment was successfully raising her five children alone. Survivors include; her parents, Ervin and Beth Madden of St. Ansgar, IA; daughters and son-in-law, Tanya and Jesse Nunez of Cedar Rapids, IA, Carrie Dillard of Cedar Rapids, Jennifer Dillard (fiancé Tim Spilman) of East Moline; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Dillard II (fiancée Aubry Flores)of Moline, Anthony and Cathy Dillard of Moline, IL; grandchildren, Heather, Eric, A.J., Michael III, Jesse Jr., Mason, Kara, and Collin; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Mike Schorg of St. Ansgar, IA; brother, Blair Madden of St. Ansgar, IA; special friend, Dennis Barnes, Silvis, IL.
