Funeral services for Dale Butler, 79, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00AM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Mr. Butler died Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport, IA. Memorials may be made to CornerStone Christian Fellowship, Moline, IL. Dale was born August 23, 1931 in Missouri, the son of Joe and Gertrude Butler. He married Betty Liggett March 4, 1950 in Rock Island, IL. He had worked as a truck driver for Nash Finch, Western Transportation, and retired from Standard Forwarding. He belonged to the Teamsters Union. He loved having fun with his buddies. He enjoyed playing golf, euchere, and pool. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Betty Butler; daughters, Joeleine (Peter) Berthoud of Moline, Cheryl (Steve) Arnold of Carbon Cliff, IL; sons, Kenneth (Vicki) Butler of Swedona, IL, Donald Butler of East Moline, Terry Butler of East Moline; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
