Dale E. Cronau, 85, East Moline, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the home of his daughter Valerie in Moline. At Dale's request his body will be cremated and no public services will be held. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society.

Dale was born on June 13, 1935 in Moline, the son of Alfred and Dorothy (Thomas) Cronau. He married Elaine Hulting on November 17, 1961 in Moline. She died October 19, 2015. He worked at Caterpillar and East Moline Metal, retiring in 1998. Dale loved the outdoors and going for walks along the river. In earlier years he loved taking the family on vacations and horseback riding. Dale was a Chicago Bears fan.

Survivors include his children, Beth Brodersen, East Moline, Kathi (Richard) Randolph, Silvis, and Valerie Waydeman, Moline, grandchildren; Tim, Kristy, Nicole, Kelsey, Katie, Shelby and Megan, great grandchildren; Collin, Braeden, Ashtin, (twins) Camden, Camren, Keatyn, Alexis and Daniel, with one on the way, sister Carol Black, Scotland, AK and brother Thomas (Cheryl) Cronau, Danville, IN.

In addition to his wife was preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Alan and his parents.
