Dale M. Gillan, 100, East Moline, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at his home. Private family services will be held at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Moline. In lieu of flowers and Gifts, memorials may be made to the the Disable American Veterans, Davenport, IA. Dale was born on June 9, 1920 in Mystic, IA, the son of Melvin and Atta Mae (McMillan) Gillan. He married Sylvia Stacey on April 16, 1976 in Clinton, IA. She died March 9, 2010. He retired from International Harvester Works, East Moline in 1974. He served in the US Navy during WWII. Dale was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, enjoyed listening to music and gardening. In early years, he farmed in the Hillsdale, IL area. Survivors include his step-children, Joan Gargano, Moline, Maxine VanWick, Downers Grove, IL, Stacey Roberts, East Moline and Lory (Andrew) Duprey, East Moline, eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and step daughter Estelle Goulet.
