A memorial visitation for Dale "Cricket" Johnson, 75, of East Moline, formerly of Hampton, IL, will be 2-4 pm Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mr. Johnson died Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at UnityPoint, Rock Island, IL. Burial will be in Hampton Cemetery, Hampton, IL. Dale was born January 4, 1944, in Moline, IL, the son of Ralph and Opal Ferman Johnson. He worked at the former John Deere Malleable, East Moline and Montgomery Elevator, Moline. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He was a New York Yankees fan and a Indianapolis Colts fan. Survivors include his children, Kim Johnson, Moline, Mike (Tatyana) Johnson, IN, Dale "Skeeter: Johnson, Carbon Cliff, IL, and Carrie Johnson (John Jackson), East Moline; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Phyllis (Ken) Trommer, East Moline; sisters-in-law, Rose Johnson, Bloomington, IL and Norma (Dave Butler), AZ; brother-in-law, Bill Williams, Hampton; several nieces and nephews; fiancée, Dianna Toney, East Moline, and their dog, Rose. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Brian Wingert and Diego Johnson; siblings, Donald Johnson, Carol Williams, Barb (Kenny) Wheeler, Larry Johnson, and Richard Johnson.
