Obituary

Funeral services for Dale W. Nipper, 57, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Fellowship Temple, 1705 14th Street, Silvis, IL. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mr. Nipper died Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL, after a long battle with cancer. Memorials may be made to the family. Dale was born December 28, 1950 in Moline, the son of James and Shirley (Mundt) Nipper. He served in the US Air Force during the Viet Nam Conflict. He married Neta (Weathers) Hains November 12, 1989 in Moline. He had been an Aviation Weather Observer for 12 years. He had worked for Southwest Weather, Coast to Coast Weather, Pacific Weather, and Midwest Weather. Dale was very friendly had a great sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Survivors include: his wife, Neta Nipper of East Moline; daughter and son-in-law, Candy and James Wadkins of East Moline; sons and daughter-in-law, Dale R. and Alma Nipper of East Moline, Scott Nipper of Moline; step daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Rodney Meister of Moline, Gwendolyn Hains of Boise, ID; step son, Frank Fisher of Rock Island; 10 grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Desty Nipper of CA, Richard and Eda Nipper of Sterling, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Jeffrey. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.vanhoe.com.
