Dale Louis Phillips, 91, of East Moline, passed away Monday, July 28, 2025, at Park Vista.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Our Lady of Grace Parish at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline.  Visitation will be from 8:30 am to 9:30 am on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.  Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Grace Parish at St. Annes Catholic Church.

Dale was born on August 23, 1933, in Decorah, IA, the son of Louis and Rosalie (Barr) Phillips.  He married Donna Monteith on December 21, 1955.  Dale was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.  He enjoyed wearing his navy apparel and reminiscing with everybody regarding his military experiences.  He retired after 31 years working as a truck driver for Knox Motor and ANR Freight Systems.  Dale enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and taking care of his lawn.  He always liked to stay busy around the house or spending time with his friends and family.  Dale looked forward to having visitors and could be caught talking to others for hours with more stories to tell.

Dale is survived by his children, Dale Lee Phillips, East Moline, Diane McDonald, East Moline, and Danette (Charles) Johnson, East Moline; 4 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; sister, Lavon Kleffner; sister-in-law, Freda Kinman; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Phillips; his parents; and siblings, Ronnie Phillips, John Phillips, Betty Barnes, Donna Erps, Sharon Phillips, and Shirley Dryfres.
