Dana Haynie, 70, of Silvis, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.  Funeral service will be 10:00 am on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, who the family thanks dearly for their loving care and compassion.

Dana was born on August 31, 1955, in Moline, the son of Kenneth and Jean (Damm) Haynie.  He married Susan Graves on June 27, 1981, in Moline.  He worked for Eagles Food Center as produce manager, and later worked as a produce clerk for several Hy-Vee's in the Quad City area.  Dana was an avid golfer who golfed in leagues and volunteered for the John Deere Classic grounds crew.  He enjoyed going fishing, gardening, and having coffee with his "coffee guys" at Panera Bread every morning.  He would have daily walks with his 4-legged companion, Lulu.  Dana will be remembered as being a great man to all especially his entire family whom he loved dearly.  They were very close and for the last 40 years they got together for a fishing trip up North in Osakis, MN, where lots of laughter, games, and memories were made that will last a lifetime.

Dana is survived by his wife, Susan Haynie; children, Taylor Haynie and Kate (Andrew) Amato; grandchildren, Allison and Aiden Haynie, Christian Dusenberry, Andrew, Sawyer, Jax, Michael, Alexis, and Nate Amato; great granddaughter, Lilly Amato; father, Kenneth Haynie; sisters, Joni (Joe) Redman and Darby Haynie; mother-in-law, Patricia Graves; and numerous extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Haynie and father-in-law, Richard Graves.
