Daniel R. Girot, 51, Silvis, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at his home after an extended illness. Funeral services are 10 AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. Dan was born on August 2, 1964 in Moline, the son of William and Phyllis (Bennett) Girot. He married Mary Rosa-Gastaldo in 1995 and together they had 2 daughters. He married Tracey (Crimmins) Wolf, on August 2, 2013 in Moline. Dan owned and operated First Impressions in Silvis. He enjoyed fishing, the River Bandits, the QC Mallards and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He loved the outdoors, gardening, landscaping. Survivors include his wife Tracey, daughters; Alexis Girot, Chicago, and Abigail Girot, Rock Island, his mom Phyllis "Dolly" Girot, East Moline, stepchildren; Rob Stevens, Des Moines, IA, and Christine Cooperman, Davenport, brother James Girot, Rapids City, IL, and sister-in-law Janet Girot. He was preceded in death by his father "Herkie" and brother Tim.
