Daniel J. Meyer, 70, of Rock Island, IL, died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at Genesis Medical Center East, Davenport, IA. A memorial mass will be offered at 10 AM Friday, April 1, 2016 at St. Piux X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Dan was born March 11, 1946, in Rock Island, the son of Edmund and Selma Stecher Meyer. He was a graduate of Alleman High School and St. Ambrose College. He retired from LabCorp in 2011. Survivors include his son, Matt Meyer, Ceder Falls, IA; 2 grandchildren; sister, Sue (Mark) Schaecher, Rock Island; brother, Mike (Birdie) Meyer, Davenport, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judy. Memorials may be made to his son, Matt.
