Graveside services for Daniel E. Willits, 64, of Milan, IL, will be 10:00AM Monday at the National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Anyone wishing to attend must be at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL, by 9:30AM. Mr. Willits died March 3, 2011 at Trinity Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Dan was born November 22, 1946 in New Boston, IL, the son of Willie and Bertha Garrett Willits. He served in the US Air Force. He married Kathy McCulloch November 24, 2002 in Las Vegas, NV. He retired from Hughes Auto Repair, Milan in 2007. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, NASCAR, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Willits of Milan, IL; daughter, Courtney (Steve) Foster of Milan; son, Mr. Mike (Amber) Willits of Moline; mother, Bertha Willits- Binder of Joy, IL; stepdaughter, Deborah (Jason) Osborn, Moline; stepsons, Michael Shaffer of Tacoma, WA, Dustin Shaffer of Milan, Joshua (Ashley) Shaffer of Coyne Center, IL; 7 grandchildren; sister, Iola (Floyd) Womack of CA; brothers, Russell Willits of MN, David Willits of Joy, Thomas (Pam) Willits of of Davenport, IA, Randy (Caroline) Willits of Keithsburg, IL, Royal "Mick" (Ivy) Willits of Keithsburg, Rex Willits of Colorado.
