Dannie R. "Dan" Wilson, 66, Alexander, Arkansas, formerly from East Moline, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at John L. McClellan Memorial VA Hospital, Little Rock, AR. Funeral services are 11 AM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island, IL, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct military honors. Visitation is 2-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Dan was born on August 17, 1949, in Ola, AR, the son of Cecil and Mattie (Archer) Wilson. He married Judy Thompson before entering the Air Force wanting to make that his career. Nine years later he left the military to come home and raise his daughter. Dan had worked as a electronics technician through the transition of Lutheran Hospital to Trinity and eventually moved back to Arkansas. He married Nancy Heimann in 1984 in East Moline. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; daughters, Danielle (Mark) Jackson, and Theresa (Brien) Carpenter, Alexander, AR; grandchildren, Madison, Madeleine and Dakota; siblings, Larry (Esther) Wilson, Winter Haven, FL, Tom (Vickie) Wilson, Colona, IL, Jack (Vickie) Sanders, Port Byron, IL, Cathy (Wayne) McWade, Colona and Karen (Don) Kern, Escondido, CA; several nieces and nephews.
