Funeral services for Darlene Marie Blubaugh, 75, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Friday November 7, 2008, at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Private graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo, IL, at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday November 6, 2008, at the funeral home. Mrs. Blubaugh died Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, IL. Darlene was born August 6, 1933 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth (Wheelock) Newberg. She married Ward Blubaugh March 7, 1952 in East Moline. She was retired from John Deere, East Moline and has sold Mary Kay Products for many years. Darlene enjoyed life! Boating, flying, and traveling in the motor home with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were some of her favorite things to do. Survivors include: her husband of 56 years, Ward Blubaugh of East Moline; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah(Mendonsa)Littlefield (Lamont) of Galesburg, IL, son, Mark Allen Blubaugh of East Moline; granddaughter Danielle Suzanne and grandson-in-law, Jason Reid of Galesburg; granddaughter Dana Marie Mendonsa and fiancé John O'Connor of Lombard, IL; great grandchildren, Bryce and Seth Reid of Galesburg; sister Bernadine and brother-in-law Jim Snyder of Silvis, IL, along with several nieces and nephews.
