Funeral services for Darlene A. Johnson, 67, East Moline, are 11 AM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is 2 hours prior to services. At Darlene's request, her body will be cremated following services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Darlene died November 25, 2009 at Illini Hospital, Silvis. Darlene was born August 4, 1942 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Romeo and Isabelle Dufault. She married Donald Teel and together they had four children. She later married John Johnson on June 23, 1984 in Moline. Darlene worked most recently at Cole Vision and Vision 4 Less as an eye glass technician. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and was a pet lover who found great pleasure in feeding strays as well as the neighborhood pets. Survivors include her husband John, daughters Doreen Teel, Donna Teel, son and daughter-in-law Doug and Tammy Teel, all of Davenport, six grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a brother William Dufault, Davenport. She is preceded in death by a daughter Debby Teel, stepson Mark Johnson, brother Larry Dufault her sister Elaine Mohr, her parents and stepfather Larry Frown.
