Funeral services for Darrell Anthony "Fosko" Yeargle, 85, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 am Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Yeargle died Monday, December 10, 2018, at his home. Fosko was born March 27, 1933, in East Moline, the son of Anthony and Clara Wille Yeargle. He married Catherine Crimmins October 13, 1956, in East Moline. She died January 29, 2017. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. This is where his nickname JOE FOSKO originated. He retired from Case/IH East Moline, in 1989, after 37 years of service. Fosko enjoyed fishing having grown up on the river. He also participated in slow pitch softball, bowling, and golfing. He hosted his own preferred ball tournament, the Fosko Open, for 40 years. After 83 years he finally saw his Cubs win the World Series. He always cheered for Notre Dame. Survivors include his son, Tim Yeargle (Kathy Partlow), East Moline, great niece, Danielle Hughes (Jeromy Adamson), Silvis; and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Raymond Yeargle; brothers, Raymond and Richard; and nephews, Dan and Jim Crimmins. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.

The family would like to thank the caregivers that helped Darrell over the past 2 years; Debi Mumma, Cathy Pilaszewski, and Stephanie VanDenBerghe.
