Daryll D. Carlson, 50, of East Moline died Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Galesburg Terrace Nursing Home in Galesburg, IL. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 1:00PM at the Van Hoe Funeral Home LTD, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, IL. Daryll was born May 23, 1960 in Kewanee, IL to Leroy and Darlene Lamb Carlson. He received his Associates in Arts Degree in Television Broadcasting from Black Hawk College in Moline; his Bachelor of Science Degree in Television and Film from University of Maryland, College Park, MD and his Masters in Public Health from Loma Linda University, Loma Linda ,CA. In previous years he was a correspondent/ photographer for the Daily Dispatch in Moline, a producer/director/writer with Black Hawk College Television, Moline, a producer/director/writer with Daryll Carlson Productions, East Moline, and a production assistant with WHBF, Rock Island, IL. He enjoyed jogging, going to The YMCA, attending movies and musical performances and going to the library. He is survived by his parents,East Moline; brother, Lee Vern (Marcia) Carlson of Rock Island; nephews, Luke and Mathew Carlson of Rock Island; Aunt and Uncle, Jay and Jim Kennedy of Burbank, CA; brother-in-law, Joel Preisser of Bettendorf; cousins, Richard and Linda Brown and Joyce Lamb of Geneseo, IL.
