David Bates, 61, Rock Island, died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation, East Moline. Graveside services are 8 AM Saturday at Carbon Cliff Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend services can meet at Van Hoe Funeral Home at 7:30 AM. He was born November 20, 1950 in Davenport, the son of Daniel and Helen Bates. Dave last worked at the I-Wireless Center in Moline. Survivors include brothers James and Jeff of Davenport and Don of Oskaloosa, IA. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Karen Petersen.
