David Lee Emmert, 81, East Moline, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Genesis Illini. Private services were held. David was born on January 22, 1933 in Moline, the son of David O. and Mildred Oxford Emmert. He graduated from UTHS, class of 1954. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He married Margaret Julius and they later divorced. David was a stationary engineer at the power plant at the former East Moline State Hospital which is now the East Moline Correctional Center. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law Debra and Jim Coulter and granddaughter Hailey. He was preceded in death by his Father David O Emmert and mother and stepfather, Mildred and Paul Garrett.
