David N. Irwin, 77, of East Moline, IL, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family. A memorial service will be held at a later date. He was born June 26, 1941, in Morris, IL, the son of Billy Burke and Helen Dorothy Jones Irwin. He married Janice Hegenbart June 17, 1961, in Port Byron, IL. They had three sons, Todd, Joe, and Andrew. He later married Janet Bartels December 5, 1997, in Naples, FL. He retired after 30 years of sales in the steel industry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He was a Chicago Bears fan and a St. Louis Cardinals fan. David was always there to assist others in improving their lives. He had gift that affected people to feel important and special. Family meant everything to him. He was an incredible father who traveled for work but never missed his children's events. Survivors include his wife, Janet; children, Todd Irwin, Midland, TX, Joe (Bindy) Irwin, Moline, IL, Stacy (Mickey) Carson, Thompson Station, TN, and Zack (Britt) Bartels, Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Scott, Samantha, Luke, Ben, Bailey, David, McKayla, Liberty, Josie, Andrew, and Ethan; great granddaughter, Emberly; brother, Blair (Robin) Irwin, Springfield, OR; and special friend, Charlie Jenkins. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Andrew "Drew" Irwin; sister, Judy Irwin; and brother, James Irwin. Memorials may be made to the family.
