David L. Linn, 86, Silvis, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Funeral services are 10 AM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct military honors. Visitation is 4-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Quad City Honor Flight.

Dave was born July 4, 1932 in Moline, the son of Carl and Leona (Welch) Linn. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Patricia Ford on November 17, 1951 in East Moline. Mr. Linn retired as Director of Arsenal Operations after 38 years at the Arsenal. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Dave was a Boy Scout Leader and served on the Silvis School Board. He was a member of the East Moline American Legion.

Survivors include his wife Patty, children; Michael (Joni) Linn, Silvis, Kathleen (Anthony) Guerra, Villages, FL, Timothy (Debbie) Linn, Moline, Susan (Kevin) Smith, Colona, Patrick Linn, Lithia, FL and Amy Linn (Joshua Smith), Moline, 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Martha and Rosemary and daughter Nancy.
