Graveside services for David M. "Dave" Rotz, 78, of East Moline, IL, will be 11 am Friday at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, in the mausoleum. Mr. Rotz passed away peacefully, Saturday, January 21, 2023, at his home.

Dave was born March 28, 1944, in Moline, IL, the son of Herbert W. and Eula B. Taylor Rotz. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict from 1968-1970. He married Eva J. Rumburg July 31, 1969. She passed away November 15, 1991. Until Eva's passing, they enjoyed many hours on the Mississippi in their houseboat. Dave worked at the former International Harvester East Moline in experimental engineering. He later retired as Superintendent of Weld and Fabrication, from the Rock Island Arsenal in 1999, after 20 years of service.

Survivors include his fiancée , Laure Scholfield, East Moline; 2 daughters; grandchildren; a step daughter, Barbara (Dan) Morgan, Silvis; siblings, Joyce (Jim) Lenth, Moline and Sherman (Carmell) Rotz, Moline.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
