Funeral services for David C. Nicholson, 55, of Colona, IL, will be 10:00AM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Nicholson died Monday, August 2, 2010 at his home. Memorials may be made to the family. Dave was born February 27, 1955 in Gary, IN the son of Ann Nicholson and stepson of Gene Lee . He married Cindy (Woodward) Schultz February 28, 1997 in Rock Island, IL. He had last worked as a delivery driver for DHL, Moline, until their closing last year. He had been a talented musician all his life, most recently playing with Brotherin. He had been a loving husband, stepfather, and papa. He was a gentle giant. Survivors include his wife Cindy Nicholson of Colona; mother, Ann Lee of Gary, IN; stepdaughter, Andrea Viren of East Moline; stepsons, Jason Schultz of East Moline, and Dan Schultz of East Moline; grandchildren, Trevor, Tanner and Paige; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews; special friends, Mike and Joanie Keil of Colona, IL; and all of his musician family.
