A memorial service for David H. Ripple 74, of Summerfield, FL will be noon Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Ripple passed away March 12, 2009. He retired from the John Deere Combine Manufacturing Facility in East Moline, IL. He was born in St. Elmo, IL on July 3, 1934. He moved to Summerfield, FL in Dec. of 1994 from Moline, IL. His hobbies were golfing, playing cards, listening to gospel music, taking cruises in the Caribbean, and he was a huge St. Louis Cardinal Fan! He is survived by his: wife, Earline Ripple, Summerfield, FL; sons; David R. (Lynn) Ripple, Coal Valley, IL, Jeff S. Ripple, Summerfield, FL; daughter, Jana G.(Dennis) Kindred, Coal Valley, IL; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
