David C. Sparks , 50, of Hampton, IL, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024, at OSF-St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2024, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL, with visitation one hour prior to services Monday. Interment will be at Hampton Township Cemetery, Hampton, IL.

David was born January 16, 1974, in Moline, Illinois, a son of Sharon (Gill) Sparks. He graduated from UT High School, Class of 1992.

David was a talented carpenter and handyman for many years.

He enjoyed fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Surviving are his mother, Sharon, of Hampton, IL; sisters, Cara (Joseph) Hoener, East Moline, IL, and Cindy (Chris) Hodge, Buford, GA; one niece and four nephews; and other family.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Irene and Clairmont Gill.
