Dean G. Cone, 90, formerly of East Moline, passed away Feb. 19, 2015 in Palmetto, FL. Funeral services are 10 AM Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Entombment is in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct military honors. Visitation is 4-7 PM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, with a rosary recited at 3:30 PM. Dean was born December 5, 1924 in Kewanee, IL, the son of Thomas and Geneva Swan Cone. He retired from John Deere Experimental in 1983. Survived by daughters, Marilyn Arp (Kent); Paula Maltby (Jim), Karen Poquet (Greg), and Teresa Cone; sister, Beverly Swanson; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren. He was a WWII Army veteran. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Honor Flight Fund Organization.
