Funeral services for Delbert B. DePorter, 68, Geneseo, are 10 AM Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 3-7 PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a prayer service will be read at 6:30PM. After a courageous battle with cancer, Del died Monday, August 7, 2006 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born May 25, 1938 in Moline, the son of Maurice and Reva Hull DePorter. He married Sharon McMillin, later married Margaret Hall, who died in 1978. He married Jeannette Gass in 1986. Del retired in 1990 as an International Parts Distributor from Case IH, East Moline. He loved being with his family. He was a member of the Early Ford V8 Club, enjoyed building street rods and was an avid NASCAR Fan. Survivors include his wife Jeannette, children and spouses Tim and Lynette DePorter, East Moline, Brian and Julie DePorter, Colona, Amy and Ken Roehrs, Moline, Jennifer and Nathan Standefer, Silvis, Morrie and Jodie DePorter, Geneseo, Ron Gass Jr., Moline, Kris and Dan Robinson, Bettendorf, Rick and Beth Gass, Colona and Julie and Eric Justice, Rensselaer, IN, grandchildren; Aubree, Laycee, Breanne, Brett, Emily, Paige, Joshua, Margaret, Fiona, Jacob, Joey, Ryan, Tiffany, Ronnie, Jeromie, Andrew, Brandy, Amanda, Sydney, Trey, Jordan, Cade, Angela, TJ, Nicholas, Jordan, Michael, Dustin, Nicole, Danielle, Zach and Kyle, Great grandchildren; Bryce, Bradley, Brannon, Collin, Tyler, Evan, Logan, Brendon, Braden, Coltyn, Regan, Conner and Harbin, and a brother and sister-in-law Greg and Deanna DePorter, Colona.
