Denise Jean Schomer, 64, East Moline, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 at her home. Funeral services are 11 AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.

Denise Whitehair was born December 23, 1953 in Moline, the daughter of Frank and Grace (Gum) Whitehair. She worked as a CNA for the ARC of the Quad Cities. She enjoyed cooking and listening to music. She dearly loved her family.

Survivors include her children, Cora Swanson, Moline, Shaun Schomer, East Moline and Brittany (Nick) Wright, Silvis, grandchildren Owen Swanson, Ethan Swanson and Katie Schomer, siblings, Lois Robertson, Moline, Gerlean (Ken) McIntosh, Moline, Lawrence (Ruthann) Whitehair, East Moline, Sharon Tubbs, East Moline, Edward Whitehair (Sylvia Tristan), Moline, and Alan (Jill) Whitehair, CA, sisters-in-law, Wilma Whitehair and Nancy Papish, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Howard, Robert and Christel.
