Dennis George Bedard, 85, of East Moline, IL, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023, at his home in East Moline.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Interment will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery, Brainerd, MN. A rosary will be recited at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 17, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL, with visitation following from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

Dennis was born October 15, 1938, in Minneapolis, MN; one of six children born to George and Ruth (DuBeau) Bedard. His early life was spent in Brainerd, MN. He honorably served in the U.S. Army for six years, where he was stationed in Germany. Dennis married Rosalie Marie Klimek on November 19, 1966, in St. Michael, MN. They were blessed with three daughters, Lynnee, Pauline, and Erica, whom they raised in Rockford, IL. He and Rosalie have resided in East Moline for the past 25 years. He was an insurance adjuster for Crawford & Co. for many years. He retired in 2003.

Dennis (Denny) loved being the jokester and making people smile. He would often announce his arrival at the grocery store with a smile and a toot on his train whistle. Everything was "yummy on the tummy" and whatever it was, it was "good stuff".

Some of his favorite times were those spent with friends and family making memories and playing cribbage with the family at Wise Lake. Dennis will be fondly remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin.

Dennis was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalie; daughters, Lynnee (Ed) Jimenez and Pauline (Peter) Molinari; and grandchildren, Maggie, Miranda, Xavier, and Sebastian; and other family.

Dennis was preceded in death by his daughter, Erica Bedard; parents, George and Ruth; and brothers, Robert and Jim Bedard.
