Dennis L. Miller , 84, of East Moline, IL, passed away Friday May 16, 2025 at his home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 22nd, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated later.

Dennis was born February 9, 1941, in Moline, Illinois, a son of George and Anna (VanDamme) Miller. He graduated from United Township High School, East Moline. Dennis married Barbara Jean Knapp on June 20, 1959 in Rock Island, IL.

He was a talented carpenter and craftsman. Prior to his retirement he worked for Don Heller Construction, Hampton, IL, for many years, and lastly for RICCAP, Rock Island.

Dennis enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and bowling. In earlier years, he coached Little League baseball and his son's team in Soft Pitch softball. Some of his favorite times were those spent with family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara, of East Moline; daughters, Wendy Lynn Powell, Appleton, WI, and Christina Marie Miller, Hampton, IL; son, Todd (Jeri) Miller, Coal Valley, IL; grandchildren, Travis L. Miller, Cody Lee Miller, Crystal Marie Miller, Tommy D. Powell, and Ivyanne Marie Miller; sister, Linda (George) Leibengood, East Moline; brother, Tom (Sharon) Miller, East Moline; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Anna; son-in-law, Thomas Powell; and his brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Mary Miller.
