Dennis Dean Overturf, 61, LeClaire, IA, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Unity Pointe, Rock Island. Services are 4PM Sunday June 8, 2014 at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is from 2PM until service time. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Dennis was born on July 28, 1952 in Ottumwa, IA, the son of Robert and Marilyn (Wittenmeyer) Overturf. He married Ella Doughty on August 4, 1973 in Kirksville, MO. He was a supervisor at Modern Woodman, Rock Island. Dennis enjoyed travel, playing golf, and fishing. He also loved being with his friends. Survivors include his wife Ella, daughter Doughty Overturf, Cedar Rapids, IA, stepson, Rick Bailey, CA, his father Robert, Bettendorf, and siblings, Gary Overturf, Minnesota, Mary Stewart, South Dakota, Kenny Overturf, Cedar Rapids, and Joan McFarland, Bettendorf. He was preceded in death by his Mother and his Aunt Marge.
