Dennis M. Todd, 85, of East Moline, IL, died Thursday, February, 18, 2016, at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis, IL. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 am Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Graveside services will be 11:30 am at Rock Island National Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend graveside services should be at the funeral home by 11:00 am. Dennis was born May 8, 1930, in Harris, MO, the son of Ralph and Mary McClary Todd. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He married Mary Ann Spriet February 27, 1955, in Hernando, MS. She died December 18, 2004. He retired from Alcoa in 1988, where he had been a mill operator for 38 years. Dennis was a sportsman and an outdoorsman. He loved golfing, hunting and fishing with his friends and family. He enjoyed all sports, especially watching his grandson play baseball. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He had been a member of Silvis United Methodist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Martha (Bradley) Larson, Moline, IL; sons, Billy Joe (Sally) Burke, Gardner, KS, and Jimmy Lee Ruchotzke, Sacramento, CA; grandchildren, Billy (Kati) Burke, Tiffany (Charlie) Lydon, and Robert Larson; great grandchildren, Kaleigh and Charlie Lydon, and Sammy and Dawson Burke; special friend, Eleanor Lohf, Bettendorf, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sisters, Ruth Todd and Gail Harris. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or Silvis United Methodist Church.
