Funeral services for Diana L. Duncan, 73, of Colona, are 2PM Sunday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Visitation is from noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Milan No Kill Animal Shelter. Diana died Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. Diana Ammerman was born December 12, 1935 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Frank and Viola (Jordan) Ammerman. She married Robert Lydon in 1952 in Colona and later married Wilbur Duncan in 1962 in Colona. Diana retired in 1998 as a pharmacy technician from Illini Hospital after 30 years. She enjoyed reading, knitting items for her family and caring for her beloved animals Sheeba and Chief. Diana was a card carrying member of the Die-Hard Cubs Fan Club. Survivors include her children and spouses Sandi and Denny Stanek, of Colona, Michael and Cindy Lydon of Rock Island, Jim Duncan of Colona, Craig and Tina Duncan of Colona, Beth Duncan Hutchinson of Silvis, Shayn and Sherry Ammerman of East Moline, Debra Pauline Duncan of Des Moines, IA and Michael Lyle and Lonnie Duncan of Hillsdale, IL, eighteen grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sisters: Sharon Brewer of Davenport, Judy Mauk of Necedah, WI, Joy (Dave) Kern of Tyler TX, a brother Frank (Judy) Ammerman of San Angelo, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Gloria Ammerman, brothers-in-law Bob Brewer Sr. and Lawson Mauk and four infant grandchildren.
