Dixie P. Bisby, 80, of Moline, IL, passed away  Monday March 27, 2023 at Generations, Rock Island.

In accordance with her wishes, private family services and burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dixie was born July 14, 1942, in Monmouth, Illinois, a daughter of Richard and Pauline Painter Bivens. She graduated from United Township High School and attended Kansas State University. She married Gary L. Bisby on January 27, 1962, in East Moline. He preceded her in death on May 7, 2013.

In addition to being a homemaker, she was an assistant manager at Hardee's for many years. She was a member of East Moline Foursquare Church.

Dixie will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored. She especially enjoyed day trips and spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting and was a wonderful cook.

Surviving are her children, David (Julie) Bisby, Moline, IL, Daniel (Samantha) Bisby, Rock Island, IL and Phillip (Cindy) Bisby, Milan, IL; grandchildren, Jeremy (Ashlie) Severs, Brittany (Harrison) Strafford, Bryce Bisby, Brittani Strayer, Ryan Bisby, Zachary Bisby and Kyle Bisby; great-grandchildren, DeAndrew, Jayden, Justice, Nicole, Kyler, Lylah and Montie.

Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; infant son, William Henry Bisby; daughter, Carrie Bisby; grandparents; parents, Richard and Pauline; and sister, Barbara Bivens.
