Funeral services for Dolly M. Hout, 82, East Moline, are 10 AM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7PM Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established. Dolly died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at her home. Dolly Prior was born May 1, 1927 in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of Alvie and Blanche (Womack) Prior. She married Gene Hout on May 3, 1947 in Springfield, IL. He died December 3, 2004. Dolly had worked at the former Village Restaurant in Colona and later for 13 years at Cecil and Betty's Open Air Market, Colona. She loved going to flea markets, working in the garden, going fishing with her husband and her grandchildren. Survivors include her children and their spouses; Larry and Val Hout of Taylor Ridge, IL, Cheryl Ross of East Moline, Connie Matson of Colona, Donald Hout of East Moline, Michele and Denny Benson of Carbon Cliff and Marty Hout of Moline, seven grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sisters Grace Griffin, Lavonne Fishburn and Delores Powers all of Springfield and her brother Roger Prior of Riverton, IL. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter Angel, son Michael, seven brothers and a sister. The family of Dolly wishes to thank Sara and Glenda and the Heartland Hospice Staff the wonderful care given to their Mom.
