Dolores Lucille Kolar

(nee Clark) Age 88, of Rock Island, IL, formerly of Braidwood, IL, passed away on March 16, 2025 at Friendship Manor Nursing Home in Rock Island, IL. Born January 25, 1937 in Gillespie, IL to the late Clanton E. and Ruth (nee Drake) Clark. Dolores moved from Braidwood to the Quad City area in 1973. She retired from the Rock Island Arsenal in 1993. Surviving are daughter, Debbie Kolar of Moline, IL; son, David (Jenny) Kolar of Bettendorf, IA; grandchildren, Bradyn Kolar, Taren (Tiffany) Goulet-Long, and James Silverfox Kettering; great grandchildren, Malaykyte Long, Taren Goulet-Long, Jr., Tylin Goulet-Long, Trenton Goulet-Long, and Aidenn Kettering; siblings, Mary Maly of Braidwood, Sharon (Jim) Wilson of Coal City, IL, and Randall (Celeste) Clark of Morris, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, James E. Kolar, Jr.; parents, Clanton and Ruth; infant sister, Nancy Clark; sister and brother-in-law, Hazel (Richard) Bishop; sister and brother-in-law, Janet (Virgil) Frost; and brother-in-law, Ron Maly. Visitation will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, 401 E. Main St., Braidwood, IL, on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 11:00 to time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington, IL. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts in her name may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
